As a proud supporter of drinks professionals for over 200 years, Libbey was once again honored to be Official Glassware Sponsor of the 2023 Tales of the Cocktail conference in New Orleans.  

The annual event, held July 23-27, brought together bartenders, mixologists and cocktail fans from around the world for a week of tasting, education, networking and awards. 

Along with our sponsorship of the Best US Brand Ambassador Award, the company partnered with Maker’s Mark to host the Maker’s Cocktail Bar, where attendees got to be their own maker by selecting a base cocktail and curating an over-the-top garnish from our live garnish garden.   

The sustainability-focused event unleashed the creative spirit of the attendees, pushing their ingenuity while they learned about how local flora can elevate a cocktail experience.  

We were thrilled to have guest judge Jonathan Pogash – The Cocktail Guru himself – on hand to select the winners alongside Libbey and Marker’s Mark. Though there were many excellent entries, only five – one for each Libbey glass available at the event – were selected to take home a $500 prize.
