Pantone dubbed Classic Blue its color of the year in 2020 as the calm and confident antidote to pandemic woes. Two years later, we’re still gravitating toward shades that gives us the safety and stability that we crave.
The perfect neutral, blue complements colors throughout the spectrum. Paired with tans and greys, blue is reassuring and uplifting, while with primary colors it evokes a bold and invigorating energy. A blend of blue and green adds movement, like undulating waves on the ocean.
Blue is always a confident choice that looks as fresh and modern today as it did nearly 100 years ago, when it was featured in colorful depression glass. Gen Z is taking the trend into the future, with 3.4 million followers of the #blueglass hashtag on TikTok.

I am obsessed with this bold blue color! It is great for delicate spring desserts where I want the vibrance of my ingredients to truly shine. The bold blue accompanies my favorite Orbital rocks glasses and the variety of delicate Libbey serving pieces. The bold color seamlessly accompanies any style of the dining room from sleek and clean to fun and loud. The blue pairs well with both dark and light plates and creates an effortless blend of styles across the dining room.
How important are variety and statement pieces to creating a captivating culinary experience for your guests?
Our guests eat with our eyes first, so as food is being brought to the table guest will take note of the serving pieces before they even see the food. The bold color is eye-catching in any dining room. These serving platters also sit well on a high-end grazing table for both corporate and social events.
